Engaging our services
Our
clients hire us for only one reason: to help them fulfill their
dreams by pursuing their financial goals while avoiding financial
ruin.
Following our initial meeting and prior to entering
into an agreement with us we will send you a Letter of
Engagement for your approval, summarizing our understanding
of the services to be rendered and clearly specifying the fees to be
charged. A Retainer Agreement will be executed
following your approval of the Letter of Engagement.
When you engage us we will:
- Review and rank your short-, intermediate-, and long-term
financial goals;
- Assess your tolerance for investment risk;
- Propose investment strategies designed to achieve your goals
consonant with your time horizon and tolerance for investment
risk, specifying recommendations and alternatives for their
implementation;
- Present for your approval a written Investment
Framework to serve as a guide in the implementation of
agreed-upon strategies;
- Identify any strengths, weaknesses, opportunities or threats
that may have an impact on your long-term economic
wherewithal;
- Actively monitor your portfolio(s) for adherence to the
Investment Framework, and provide written quarterly
reports tracking your progress toward achieving the agreed-upon
goals; and,
- Meet with you in person at least once a year for a thorough
review of your portfolio(s).
Work not contemplated in existing
Agreements
Prior to performing any work that falls outside
the scope of an existing Agreement, we will present for your written
approval a proposal clearly disclosing the nature of the work to be
performed and the fees to be charged.
Termination of Agreements
Agreements
remain in effect for a period of one year from the date of their
execution and are automatically extended for additional periods of
one year each, unless sooner rescinded, amended, or terminated.
You may terminate an agreement at any time by notifying us in
writing. If you terminate an agreement within ten (10) business days
of its execution you will receive a full refund of any prepaid fees.
Otherwise, you will receive a full refund of any prepaid but
unearned fees. The unearned portion is calculated as the ratio of
the number of days elapsed between the date of termination and the
end of the prepaid period, divided by the total number of days in
the period.
